Ahead of ITZY's official comeback with "GOLD," JYP Entertainment was sniped by MIDZYs following the group's underwhelming "hemeko" in their concept photos.

Since October 1, the label has been hinting at the start of ITZY's new music era by dropping teasers and concept photos for the release of its new mini-album "GOLD" on the 15th. 

In the first set of photos, members Yeji, Lia, Ryujin, Chaeryeong, and Yuna were seen posing and sitting against a white backdrop. On the second set, the quintet boasted hip beauty in front of the city buildings.  

Fans can feel ITZY's signature charisma that captivated the camera in the photos, which also attracted netters in online communities.

However, on Nate Pann, several fans expressed their disappointment after seeing the photos. According to them, the quintet's hair, makeup, and coordi (hemeko) were unflattering and degraded the members' visuals significantly. It is incoherent that it feels like they are not part of the same group.

People are claiming that if weren't for ITZY's natural beauty that saved the photos, it would be considered one of the worst. An example would be how Yuna rocked the "sea-urchin" hair even if a lot of idols often fail to impress with the hairstyle as well as denim shorts that can make someone look shorter. 

Chaeryeong was also praised for standing out among the rest, thus, fans are calling out JYP with the desire to give them not only more suitable 'fits for each member, but makeup and hairstyle as well that will complement each other's individuality.

• "Except for their debut days, it seems like they've always tried to make pretty girls look ugly. They don't give the pretty members the best styling, it really annoys me."
• "I really don't understand why they nerfed the visual members with their styling. Why on earth would they do that?"
• "How can these guys be so bad at 'hemeko' every time they make a comeback? I thought they finally got the hang of it with a classy but slightly feminine concept during 'Checkmate' and 'Sneakers,' but these guys really svck at utilizing their physique and faces."
