Following Yulhee's confession regarding her divorce from Choi Minhwan, FTISLAND's label shared that the idol will take a break from the entertainment scene while being investigated for prostitute solicitation.
In a recent vlog, the former female K-pop idol uncovered the truth behind her divorce from her ex-husband Minhwan. She exposed his infidelity during the marriage, proving this with audio records of him arranging meetings with service girls through a broker called "hyung."
Following this, Sports Seoul confirmed that the authorities from Seoul Gangnam Police Station will start an investigation against Choi Minhwan and the broker on charges of violating South Korea's Anti-Prostitution Act under Article 21.
This is after they received complaints through the National Petition. Based on this law, if Minhwan is found guilty of soliciting prostitution, he could be imprisoned for 1 year and pay a fine of 3 million KRW ($2,160).
Following this news, FNC Entertainment, the agency of the idol responded by announcing his hiatus.
"Although it is difficult for us to know further details about his marital issues as it is his private life, Choi Minhwan feels responsible for disappointing both the public and viewers and decided to halt all his media activities, including broadcasts where he appears with his children."

This year, Minhwan with his three kids joined KBS2's "The Return of Superman," but after about seven months left the show due to his scandal.
Regarding his status as FTISLAND, there are voices that he should withdraw from the team to prevent him from tarnishing their image. On Oct. 25th, the team went on with their Taiwan concert but Minhwan only performed as a drummer backstage.
