BLINKs were thrilled by the news of Jisoo's upcoming activities.
On November 8, Korean news outlet Xports News released an exclusive report disclosing that Jisoo was now in her final preparations for a solo comeback in 2024. The outlet also shared that the MV would be filmed this November.
However, Jisoo's independent label BLISSOO shared that the reports of the idol making a solo comeback were false. The agency clarified that "No decision has been made yet" regarding Jisoo's solo music.
It also added that Jisoo is now instead focusing her time on her career as an actress. The BLACKPINK member is also preparing for the release of the movie "Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint," alongside dramas "Newtopia" and "Monthly Boyfriend."
Jisoo made her solo debut in March 2023 with "FLOWER," the title track from her first single album "Me." While Jisoo is solidifying her career as an actress, BLACKPINK members Lisa, Jennie, and Rosé are currently making waves in the music scene.
Lisa released her chart-topping "ROCKSTAR" in June, and followed up with another single titled "New Woman" (feat. Rosalía). Jennie also trended for releasing her new single "MANTRA."
Meanwhile, Rosé decided to do a duet with Bruno Mars in the viral "APT.," which became one of 2024's best hits.
