The Korean music industry was affected by the emergency declaration of martial law from President Yoon Suk Yeol, leading some agencies to halt their activities and planned events. However, KBS has announced that it will proceed with its events as scheduled following the lifting of martial law.
On December 4, Korean news outlet Star News reported that KBS has decided not to cancel its upcoming year-end shows.
The news came after President Yoon Suk Yeol's announcement to lift the martial law imposed in South Korea, which reportedly aimed to protect the country's liberal democracy from pro-North Korean forces and its opposition.

In other news, industry insiders disclosed that K-pop companies have been urged to cancel their activities for their artists. According to initial reports, insiders also revealed that it was uncertain if year-end events would still be held in the face of such a declaration.
