IU has been on a roll this December since the "Palette" singer trended for her newest achievement on Billboard. However, her success didn't go unscathed, as the singer was "reported" by antis to the CIA (Central Intelligence Agency).

On December 17, IU was named "Artist of the Year" by Billboard. The magazine mentioned how "irreplaceable" IU was due to her cross-generational following, versatility in entertainment, film, and music, alongside her unconditional love for her domestic and international fans.

"I believe the support I've received reflects an appreciation for my consistent hard work," IU acknowledged in a highlight reel.

The news immediately made waves across the K-pop community, and fans were more than proud of the "Love wins all" singer.

Unfortunately, some decided to report IU to the CIA for her early actions during the impeachment protests in South Korea. The author shared a letter addressed to the organization.

"Hello CIA staff. Thank you for working so hard every single day. I am sending you this message to report a Korean singer named IU," it said.

"Her actual name is Lee Ji Eun. She has recently been showing support for the impeachment of the South Korean president. She has even provided food for the protesters who support the impeachment of the South Korean president."

The letter furthered, "To me, it seems like she is taking the lead in helping Korea's impeachment protest rallies. She is a famous Korean singer and she has great influence."

In the comments, K-Uaenas scoffed at the complaint and expressed how ridiculous the report was.

"This will just go straight into the CIA's spam folder," one fan shared.

Another commented, "They're really doing anything at this point."

"They won't even read it," a third one said.

Meanwhile, in a separate forum, international Uaenas trolled the letter.

A fan hilariously remarked, "Getting selected for this and getting reported to the CIA in the same week. A queen of duality."

"CIA watchlist, Billboard #1 artist, when will your faves?" a second fan chimed.

One drew sarcasm, "OMG congrats, this (Billboard) news will make her feel better before she gets sent to jail by the CIA."
