Starship Entertainment has updated its legal proceedings against malicious posts and defamation claims against IVE.

On December 19, Starship released an official statement addressing the negativity IVE has been experiencing online. The agency highlighted certain harassment such as defamation, distribution of false news, personal insults, and slander.

It also shared that these actions were considered serious offenses and that the company has taken legal action with the help of a specialized law firm. Starship added that several criminal complaints have been filed at the Gangnam Police Station.

With the evidence having been successfully forwarded to a prosecution office, the investigation and monitoring of these illegal acts across online communities and platforms will continue. Starship also noted that further legal proceedings are being awaited.

"Defamation, insults, and the spreading of false information about our artists constitute clear criminal acts. We have gathered substantial evidence and remain committed to pursuing all possible legal avenues against offenders without leniency or the possibility of settlement."

Starship Entertainment continued:

"To ensure the safety and well-being of our artists, we are providing them with professional counseling and support. Concurrently, we will continue to monitor and respond to malicious acts to ensure the protection of our artists and their rights."

"We sincerely appreciate the unwavering support and valuable information provided by our fans, which has greatly assisted us in addressing these matters. We kindly ask for your continued vigilance and cooperation. Once again, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to all fans for standing by IVE and Starship Entertainment."
