After a near three-year wait, GOT7 fans can ready their lightsticks and dust the debris off their memorabilia.
The seven-member boy group has announced their long-awaited comeback through an Instagram post.
Though no details on the upcoming project have been released, their return is slated for January 20, 2025, at 6 PM KST.
The news was first reported by the Korean outlet OSEN in November, which announced that members Jay B, Mark, Jackson, Jinyoung, Youngjae, BamBam, and Yugyeom were in the process of recording a new album.
Weeks later on December 7, GOT7 leader Jay B confirmed the news at his solo concert in Seoul.
Member BamBam seconded the announcement on Instagram, leaking the exact date.
The project, title not yet announced, will mark GOT7's first comeback as a whole group in nearly three years, following their self-titled EP released in May 2022.
The full-throated album will also be their first studio album since 2020's Breath of Love: Last Piece.
The members of GOT7 have been busy pursuing solo projects, with member Jay B releasing his debut album, Archive 1: [Road Runner], following his discharge from working as a public service worker, an alternative to South Korea's compulsory military service.
Yugyeom dropped his debut TRUST ME in February 2024, Mark released his first EP Fallin' in October 2023, Youngjae dropped his solo album Do It on November 2023, BamBam debuted Sour & Sweet in March 2023, and Jinyoung's Chapter 0: WITH was released in January 2023.
