Lee Chaeyeon delivered unfortunate news to fans following her recent Instagram Stories.
Starting this December, the idol will be taking a hiatus from dancing after rupturing her disc, as shown in her MRI scan.
"Let's go together, friend. Please take care of me," she said as she released the scan showing her herniated disc.
"Honestly, it's a wonder that it didn't rupture sooner. You've worked hard," she added, adding a photo where she's bending her back as part of her dance routine.
To give her disc ample time to recover, she promised to refrain from doing the warm-up, although she expressed her disappointment given how good back stretches make her feel.
"CLOSED. It basically means a short break from dancing. Will resume fully next year."
Although Chaeyeon didn't specify how long will her break last, considering the nature of her injury, it might take her six weeks to three months, according to the health-related outlet, HSS.

"Health comes first, don't get sick," said a fan.
"Ah, please be careful, seriously. You're still so young," reminded another supporter.
