Fans were stunned by reports that a HYBE employee inspected NewJeans' dorm room sporting a body camera.
On January 13, a community forum post, titled, "A HYBE Employee Put A Body Camera and Entered NewJeans' Members' Dorm After They Left," stirred reactions on social media. The author (OP) shared a startling excerpt from Ilgan Sports, reporting on NewJeans' remaining days with ADOR.
In December 2024, girl group NewJeans officially concluded their Japan schedules and left the ADOR dormitory. The members were obligated to reside in that specific dorm until the conclusion of their contract obligations with the HYBE subsidiary.
Details regarding the group's transportation routine were followed by claims that the ADOR dormitory was inspected by a HYBE staff member shortly after the group departed from the company.

"When the members come together at ADOR for their official schedules, they arrive individually in their mode of transportation," it shared.
"Likewise, after completing their schedules, they also go back home in the same way, following a commuting dynamic. When NewJeans left the ADOR accommodation, HYBE staff, equipped with body cameras, inspected the dorm thoroughly in preparation."
It added that several performance directors and managers who were there to support NewJeans have resigned from ADOR.

As reports of the staff inspection began circulating on social media, netizens flocked online to voice their outrage against HYBE.
"I am so creeped out," a netizen commented.
One fan ranted, "They took the photos at night/before dawn and uploaded them at 3 AM. Instead of showing up during the day, they did this. It's so sick and disgusting."
"A single day hasn't gone by since all this started without HYBE constantly proving how a company can be this diabolical and vile," lamented another.
"Guys, I think we should burn HYBE," one fervently suggested.
Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein unilaterally announced their departure from ADOR on November 28, 2024.
On January 13, label ADOR filed an injunction to prevent the girls from signing independent advertising contracts.
