From his rookie days, Kim Jaejoong has faced numerous instances of stalking from sasaengs (obsessive fans), and even his former girlfriend exhibited similar behavior.
In his recent Japanese show guest appearance, the music icon opened up about an unsettling encounter with his former partner that made him shiver in fear because of her stalker-like actions.
He particularly mentioned the time he came home from work one day and was surprised by his then-girlfriend with a home-cooked samgyetang (ginseng chicken soup) and decorations all over his house.

However, instead of this gesture being a sweet romantic surprise, Jaejoong was gripped by fear, as he had never given her a key to his home.
"I was a little scared after seeing all that because I never gave her the key (to my house). But I couldn't bring myself to ask her that because I acknowledged all her efforts. All I can say is 'Thank you,' 'I'm happy,' eat the food and say that it's delicious. We parted ways after doing the dishes," narrated the idol.
Despite the good intentions, his survival instinct kicked in, eventually leading to their breakup.
"After that, I felt a sense of fear. I decided to cut ties with her after two weeks."
While Jaejoong's former girlfriend appeared solely focused on creating joyful memories together, it's easy to see why the star reacted the way he did.
In the past, the "Just Another Girl" singer also experienced a horrifying incident when a sasaeng invaded his house and kissed him while he was sleeping, detailed in a The Strait Times report.
Though such behavior is deemed a crime today, Jaejoong only mentioned that the intruders were apprehended in his house, leaving fans to wonder whether they faced any consequences for their actions.
