In a year that seemed to have girl groups sprouting up and debuting every minute, only one stood at the top. In a recent survey, Dal Shabet ranked highest in the poll as the most popular new female group of 2011.

Conducted by Gallup Korea, a research center, surveyed over 3,401 people find out their opinion on who they thought was the most popular debut group. The target audiences were both sexes aged between 13 and 59.

The six member group which includes, Viki, Serri, Ah Young, Jiyul, GaEun, Subin, has gotten a lot of exposure in recent years as they were runner up in best new female group after after 2NE1 in 2009 and Miss A in 2010.

The group labeled by Happy Face Entertainment, has released a total of three mini albums, “Supa Dupa Diva”, “Pink Rocket” and “Bling Bling”. They have released a music video for the debut single “Hit U” off their upcoming 4th mini album which will be released soon under the same name.
