Big Bang and 2NE1 are releasing new albums on the same date in Japan on March 28. Even though both teams are under the same management company, releasing albums on the same date is unprecedented. 

YGEX, YG Entertainment Japan Branch, explained "The reason the two teams are releasing the new albums on the same date is the fan bases overlap, and they can provide more fun".

Big Bang's new mini album 'Alive' contains 9 songs. G-Dragon, the leader, participated in lyrics and songwriting on every single songs. Big Bang's daily lives are also unveiled though DVD and photobooks as soon as the album release.

2NE1 is set to release their first regular album. The album title is still not known, but 10 songs including 'Fire', 'I Don't Care' Japanese version will be contained.
