BoA opened up about her difficult financial situation growing up.

BoA had made her debut at an early age of 13, conquering the entertainment industry of not only Korea, but all of Asia. During the recent filming of KBS 'Win Win', BoA stated "About 6 months before my debut, my family's financial situation became rough because of IMF and our family had to separate.”

She also revealed "I ended up becoming the head of the household because of the financial downfall. I bought a house in three years and gathered all my family members together. I also paid for my two brothers' college tuition. That's why my brothers were so good to me.” making everyone laugh.
