Excitement continues to build for the upcoming season of "Sailor Moon Crystal." After revealing new art by newly hired character designer Akira Takahashi, the official website for the series has made Japanese voice cast announcements.
According to Anime News Network, "Sailor Moon Crystal" season three will feature the following new Japanese voice cast members for the characters of Sailor Saturn, the Witches 5, and the rest of the villains for the new episodes:
Yukiyo Fujii as Hotaru Tomoe/Sailor Saturn
Witches 5:
Yuki Nagaku as Mimete
Chiaki Takahashi as Eudial
Rina Hon'izumi as Viluy
Naomi Ōzora as Tellu
Umeka Shouji as Cyprine
Other villians:
Hikari Yono as Kaolinite
Takuya Kirimoto as Professor Tomoe
Takaya Hashi as Pharaoh 90
The new Japanese voice cast will not be the only new talent featured in "Sailor Moon Crystal" season three. Chiaki Kon will serve as the new series director and (as mentioned before) Akira Takahashi is the new series character designer.
Sailor Moon Crystal" season three will adapt the "Death Busters" story arc from the original manga series by Naoko Takeuchi. The third story arc marks the appearance of all 10 sailor scouts, specifically outer scouts Sailor Uranus, Sailor Neptune, Sailor Pluto, and Sailor Saturn.
For those that need to catch up on the first two seasons of "Sailor Moon Crystal," all of the episodes are streaming on Crunchyroll, Niconico, and Hulu. Viz Media also licensed the series for home video release in North America. Viz Media also has planned a "Sailor Moon Crystal" English dub.
"Sailor Moon Crystal" is a reboot of the original anime adaptation of the "Sailor Moon" manga series by Naoko Takeuchi. The series was announced as a celebration of the 20th anniversary of the initial series launch.
The "Sailor Moon Crystal" season three release date is set for some time in April.
