NBA Trade Rumors: Kevin Love Should Decide! Is He Better With The Cavaliers Or Warriors? Top 5 Player Can Opt Not To Sign Extension With New Team!

The NBA Trade Rumors is on fire with a blockbuster trade looming. It's a significant trade that we have waited for all year, a trade that was next to impossible just a month ago: Kevin Love to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

But there is also the angle of the Golden State Warriors. The Minnesota Timberwolves and the Warriors reached an impasse when the latter refused to include Klay Thompson in the trade package. However, since LeBron transferred to Cleveland and eventually offered first overall pick Andrew Wiggins, the asking price just went up.

Minnesota looks like it's holding all the aces, but there is one wild card that people seem to forget in this equation: Kevin Love himself.

This situation is different because Love is not a helpless pawn. He has a player option that allows him to become an unrestricted free agent and leave the team that trades for him. Thus, any trade that would transpire needs to have his approval. No team in their right mind (except Sacramento, although they only offered Rudy Gay) would sacrifice major assets to acquire Love without an assurance that he will stay there long-term.

So where would Kevin Love want to go?

ESPN analyzed where he would be a better fit:

"Kevin Pelton: The Warriors would probably be a better fit for Love's skills, given that his ability to create shots would hold more value on a team without Kyrie Irving and James. But he's got the better chance to win in Cleveland."

Kevin Love has already mentioned Stephen Curry as 'the best teammate' and coaches are wary of how the pick and roll will run with Curry and Love both being excellent shooters. That would make new coach Steve Kerr's job a whole lot easier.

However, if Love wants to make the playoffs, then he should transfer East. With the West being ridiculously competitive (Kevin Love would be the first person to attest that) no team is safe. In contrast, LeBron James can sell playoff tickets in Cleveland right about now.

Ultimately, playing with the King is just too tempting an opportunity. Reaching the Finals, even to be beaten by the Spurs or Thunder is just too enticing for a player who has yet to taste the post-season.
