iPhone 6 Rumors: New iPhone Will Use Apple Logo For Notification Light?

Have you ever wondered what it would be like if the Apple logo at the back of the iPhone lights up whenever it receives a text message, or blinks when someone is calling? Well, if the latest iPhone 6 rumors are true, then you don't need to imagine anymore.

According to a recent report by GSM Arena,  a new imge of what appears to be the iPhone 6's 'final' rear casing shows that a thin plastic sheet can now be found at the area where the Apple logo is placed. In the report, previous iPhone case designs do not have the thin plastic sheet, which hints the addition of an LED light beneath the Apple logo.

The Cupertino manufacturer can certainly pull it off, especially considering the fact that its MacBook lineup uses it for cosmetic and design purposes.

If this notification light rumor pans out to be true, iPhone users would be able to actually benefit from the blinking Apple logo. As long as the device is placed face down, seeing the notification light would be easy.

However, it may not be that helpful when you're actually using it, which means the Apple logo is not facing you. Other people will actually see whenever you have new notifications on your phone simply because your iPhone gets their attention.

So while this 'innovation' could be pretty cool especially if you own a MacBook as well, it may not be too useful in the long run.

According to recent rumors, Apple's newest iPhone will be announced on September 19, a Friday then would go on sale the following week. Rumored specs of the device include a 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch version, an improved Touch ID home button, the new iOS 8, a 64-bit enabled A8 chip, and improved camera though we are not counting on speculations that Apple will stick with its 8-megapixel shooter.
