Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2 Review, Price: Specs Of Android 4.2.2 Running Handset Incl. Much Love TouchWiz UI; Smartphone Avail. For $143.97

Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2 review, price: Samsung handsets that are much love despite the fact that they’re old models include a number from its second generation handsets. The Samsung Galaxy S2, Samsung Galaxy S2 Plus and the Android 4.2.2-powered Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2 are some of those handsets that continue to attract a following.

The S Duos 2 runs on Android 4.2.2 JellyBean and has the much love TouchWiz UI on top of the mobile platform. MobileJury notes that TouchWiz adds a lot of new functions to the basic Android user interface. A quick look on Amazon shows that its priced at $143.97 for an unlocked version.

Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2 has a 4-inch TFT LCD display with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. A review by Mobile Jury noted that the the display produces rich color and “okay” sharpness but the viewing angles are not that impressive as the image loses contrast and the colors shift when you watch the display from an extreme angle.

In terms of storage, the Duos 2 has a 64GB capacity with a microSD slot on board and the back and front cameras of the unit weigh in at 5MP and .3MP, respectively, notes Phone Arena. The handset is packed with a 1500mAh battery. Under the hood, the 2013 handset runs on a 1.2GHz processor powered with 768 MB RAM.

The handset is dual SIM, a prominent variant especially in emerging markets. Though it’s deemed the successor of the S Duos model, the overall design of the unit mirrors the features of its predecessor. Upgrades for the handset have been mainly internal, with focus on the processor and the operating system.

The Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2 was launched in November 2013 and has not yet been succeeded by another device.
