Samsung Galaxy Note 8 review, update: One of the latets Google mobile OS variants, Android 4.4.2 KitKat is now available for the Samsung Galaxy Note 8, but one of our readers note that the update has caused the S-Pen to be inaccurate. Another of our users shared that removable battery was a desired feature for the unit. Is this something that we can see in the 2014 version?

“The kitkat update for the note 8 has rendered the s pen so inaccurate as to be virtually unusable for many customers. BEWARE,” writers user nomorenotes in the comments section from our story published July 9, 2014.

User Illbenjoll practically wrote down a wishlist of what he wants to see in a Samsung Galaxy Note 8:

Though it’s uncertain to this date, there are rumors that a 2014 version of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 maybe unveiled this year, probably right before Thanksgiving.

A forum user from Android Central shared the possibility of an updated version of the 8-inch phablet saying that this year, the new line-up for the Note line include the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014), and a new variant of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 has been a successful product for the South Korean tech giant, with multitude of users giving accolades for its design and usability. It counts the LG G Pad 8.3 as one of its competition.

A quick look on Amazon.com shows that the Samsung Galaxy Note 8, 16GB variant, is being sold for $398 plus shipping and handling. The LG G Pad 8.3’s price is $298.97.
