YG Entertainment CEO Yang Hyun Suk, "2NE1 Members Are Like My Own Children"

YG Entertainment CEO, Yang Hyun Suk revealed his special attentiveness to the member of 2NE1, which resembled the mannerisms of a father-figure. 

During an OSEN's interview with Yang Hyun Suk regarding idol group 2NE1's comeback, "My heart gets filled with sorrow each time I think of 2NE1. Whenever an artist is preparing for their comeback, I basically live with them for a couple of months to guide them but I couldn't do it for 2NE1's comeback this time."

Since December of last year, Yang Hyun Suk has been busy from appearing as a judge in the SBS audition program "K-Pop Star." On top of that, as CEO of YG Entertainment, Yang Hyun Suk only naturally had countless other meetings and things he had to take care of. Yang Hyun Suk stated that his busy schedule prevented him from taking a big part in preparing for 2NE1's comeback.

Yang Hyun Suk added, "The month of July, when 2NE1 will reveal their transformation, is the most popular time frame that numerous artists choose for their comeback date. I should have been more attentive to 2NE1 especially since their debut date was scheduled to be in July, the 'Comeback-Boom' month but I couldn't be there for them which I am very sorry for."

He then continued to say, "Therefore, I cancelled everything in my schedule for this week to basically live with them for the week to basically live with them. I was able to have a final look and communicate with 2NE1 about their choreography and songs right before their comeback."

Also, "I am always grateful and sorry for the members of 2NE1, who are like my own children to me. I will be more attentive to them at the second half of this year just as much as how absent I was in the first half. I'm very thankful to have these girls of 2NE1 who, sometimes, are like my little sisters and other times, my daughters," and revealed the special spot in his heart that he has reserved for only the girls of 2NE1.

Yang Hyun Suk will appear as a judge once again in the SBS' "K-Pop Star 2," which will keep his hands full along with the other duties he will have as CEO of YG Entertainment. Regarding his busy schedule, Yang Hyun Suk stated, "I've been unbelievably busy, that I barely had any time to rest. However when I was with 2NE1, I didn't want them to see that I was exhausted because I didn't want to burden them. The past week that I spent with 2NE1 to finish preparing for their comeback was worth every second."

2NE1 released their new song, "I Love You" along with a music video teaser on July 5. In the teaser video, the unique style and charismatic voice of each member revealed the girls that have all matured into sexy and powerful singers. Their comeback is scheduled to be at the SBS "Inkigayo" on July 8.
