New Android Phones 2014: Xiaomi's New Flagship Boasts 5" 1080p Display, 3GB RAM, 13MP Rear And 8MP Front Cameras, Pricing Begins At Only $320

If you are thinking of getting the latest Samsung or HTC flagship, you will need to prepare at least $650 in order to do so. However, if you are looking to get one of the high-end new Android phones for 2014 on a cheaper price tag, then you may just want to wait until the next Xiaomi flagship becomes available in your location.

According to a report by GSM Arena, the Chinese brand has just took the wraps off of its high-end smartphone and should be available in the coming weeks or months.

In spite its flagship status, the Mi4 keeps the Xiaomi tradition in that it only costs $320 for the 16GB model and $400 for the 64GB version. However, it is important to note that the Xiaomi Mi4 will not have a microSD card slot, just like its predecessor.

Like the Mi3, the Mi4 is a powerful handset and boasts an impressive spec sheet which includes a 5-inch display with Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution, a quad-core CPU clocked at 2.5GHz, a more powerful Snapdragon 801 chipset, and 3GB of RAM.

Built in memory options are 16GB and 64GB and that would be a crucial choice as the device does not come with a microSD card slot.

At the back of the phone, Xiaomi retains the 13-megapixel Sony-made camera for one of its new Android phones for 2014, while the front-facing shooter has been improved to 8 megapixels.

The Xiaomi Mi4 is powered by a 3,080mAh battery and Android 4.4.2 Kit Kat out of the box, with its home-baked MIUI on top.

The phone's sides are made of metal, though the back casing is plastic, and the report claims that other materials such as wood, bamboo, marble and fabric options are also available.

The Chinese brand also announced a smartband dubbed as Mi Band which is primarily for health-buffs. It costs just $13 so you may want to give it a try.
