Nokia X2 Price In India Expected At RS 10,990? Budget Friendly Android Not Too Affordable For Dual-Sim Variant?

Nokia X2’s price in India could be quite confusing. The price tag of the Android handset is pegged at $135, when it was released, but commenters and tipsters are saying that the actual price of the dual-SIM version of the Nokia X2 is not within that price range. A recent listing show a price of RS 10,990 which is estimated to be around $183.

91Mobiles.com in its listing discloses the RS 10,990 price as it’s “expected best price.” It indicates in the specifications that this particular Nokia X2 has a Dual-SIM, GSM+GSM Sim slots. The cheaper price tag referred to, the $135 or roughly RS 8,107, is for the single-SIM variant.

The other possibility for the slightly higher price tag is that inclusion of local taxes. Nokia, which is part of Microsoft Devices unit, confirmed the $135 price tag excluding local taxes. Either way, if the unit lands in stores (online and off) for a price tag almost $50 higher than the original, its reception may not be well received.

Nonetheless, regardless of the final cost of the Nokia X2, prospective users could well consider it a Microsoft-made collectible. Though earlier the Redmond tech giant released the X2, signifying that it may want to be part of the Android game and supporting a competing OS, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella puts the assumption to rest.

Microsot now plans on shifting “select” Nokia X products to become Lumia devices running Windows, TechCrunch reports, referencing Microsoft’s recent announcement.

The tech site noted that supporting the Android ecosystem does not align with Microsoft’s vision even if the X line was created for low-cost, developing regions. For users who’d like to have a Nokia phone running on Android, the Nokia X and Nokia X2 is their last chance.

KpopStarz will be giving you more updates on the Nokia X2 price in the coming weeks.
