Amazon Fire Phone Will Let You Peak 'Behind' Objects In Games, Uses Head-Tracking Technology

The Amazon Fire Phone is an amazing device, and it boasts some of the newest features in the mobile industry in recent memory. Unfortunately, as portrayed by its first ever promo ad clip, the Fire Phone is not the main product here, but Amazon Prime.

Nevertheless, the Android-powered handset is still a good device that will allow you to play games using its head and eye-tracking technology. It may sound creepy, but it may actually be fun.

According to a recent report by GSM Arena, two games will be exclusive for the Amazon Fire Phone, Saber's Edge and To-Fu Fury.

Both are puzzlers but feature some action-packed sequences and even platforming elements. In the report, the games would be able to use the Fire Phone's Dynamic Perspective feature in that players can peak behind environment elements to look for clues, hints, or bonus items.

Another way to do it is to tilt the phone to the left or right, which will give the player the view he is looking for. The phone uses five front sensors in detecting the user's head and eye movements to give him a different perspective of the phone's display at different angles.

The feature is actually pretty cool if you think about it. Soon, the Fire Phone could even use the feature to run a full-scale first-person RPG where you can control the character's viewing angles by tilting your head either to the left or right, up or down. That's just my imagination working.

The Fire Phone will soon be shipped to customers who have pre-ordered and it will come with Amazon Prime out of the box. The retailer giant's first venture on the mobile platform is promising, though it may have to redirect its true goals in the process in case it plans to release a new version later on.
