Moto X+1 Release Date Is Certainly Near As 'Near-Final' Prototype Appears In The Wild, Sports Aluminum Frame, Curved Back, 5.1" 1080p Display

For the past couple of months, we have read and heard almost everything about the Moto X+1 release date, except for the official announcement of the device.

Some people expected it when the company announced its Moto 360 smartwatch, but until today no one knows how the Moto X+1 development is moving.

However, in a recent report by GSM Arena, the guys at Android Police were allegedly able to take some snapshots of the upcoming Motorola device.

In the images, the version of the phone has a customized wooden back, though we would like to take note that it is curvier than most smartphones in the market today. It could probably just be the angle, but its back is curved probably to help in grip issues.

In the report, the tipster of the photos claims that the Moto X+1 in the images are already in its 'near-final' prototype stage, which means just a few tweaks here and there and this could just be the actual device that they would send to developers and even bloggers for review.

The Motorola Moto X+1 is said to pack a 5.1-inch display with a Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution, the company's first ever FHD device (the Moto X only has HD (1280 x 720) resolution). As we can see from the image, the Moto X+1 will probably get the same Moto customization that its predecessor had.

Another brand which has employed the same idea is OnePlus for its smartphone, though it has failed to ship the device in time to meet the demand.

Motorola has been doing a good job as far as smartphone development is concerned, it may not be one of the top companies, but it has managed to get its fair share of consumers. In fact, it is still among the top 5 manufacturers in the US in terms of market share.
