Upcoming Lenovo Phones 2014: K920 Vibe Z2 Pro Takes A Selfie, Boasts Aluminum Frame

Yesterday, reports say that one of the upcoming Lenovo phones for 2014 will soon be unveiled. But it does not even take 24 hours after the report that a supposed image of the device surfaces on the Internet.

According to a report by GSM Arena, the flagship smartphone has just appeared on Chinese website Weibo, and it certainly looks like a premium built device.

What's more interesting is that the image was posted by Arthur Wei, Lenovo's Chief Marketing Officer in China. From the outside, the Lenovo K920, or also known as the Vibe Z2 Pro has an aluminum casing certainly looks stunning.

However, it is not all outside for Lenovo's upcoming flagship.

Leaked specs from earlier reports claim that the Lenovo Vibe Z2 Pro will pack a massive 6-inch display with QHD or 2K (2560 x 1440) resolution, 3GB of RAM, and a Snapdragon 801 chipset.

Also on board is a 16MP primary camera with LED flash, a 5MP secondary snapper, 32GB of built-in storage, dual-SIM support and LTE connectivity.

Powering the device is a massive 4,000mAh battery, and it comes with Android 4.4 Kit Kat out of the box.

Lenovo has really outdone itself this time with the Vibe Z2 Pro as it certainly aims to become the best smartphone in the Android platform.

However, with newcomer Xiaomi making waves with its Mi4 flagship which only costs under $400, the Lenovo flagship will be under pressure when it comes to pricing. In addition, other brands like Huawei and ZTE have all been racing to get to the top of the Chinese market, which is almost means getting half of the world's mobile market.

In a mass market such as China, developing a high quality and premium built handset is impressive, but not enough to catch attention. But if it has an affordable price tag, then consumers will start listening.
