iPad Pro, iPad Mini 3, iPad Air 2 Release Date All Set For This Fall 2014? New 12.9 Inch Apple Slate To Have Split Screen Functionality; Next-Gen iOS Mini Tablet Concept Design Borrows From iPhone 6

Recent reports suggest that iPad Pro, iPad Mini 3 and iPad Air 2 release date is set to happen later this year.

According to the latest tech grapevines, Apple will be launching three new iOS slates this year - the iPad Air 2, the iPad Pro and the iPad Mini 3.

Citing the Taiwanese publication, Economic Daily News, Christian Today reports that the iPad Pro, iPad Mini 3 and the iPad Air 2 release date is set for at some point this fall 2014. Particularly, the tablet may be launched during the alleged Apple's iPad event, which is set for October.

The iPad Air 2 is expected to have a 9.7-inch display while the iPad Mini 3 will get a 7.9-inch screen.

A concept design for the iPad Mini 3 was created by Martin Hajek and it borrows some elements from the iPhone 6. The post on Concept-Phone.com reads, "We get even more rounded edges, the bezels are slimmer and the pill shaped buttons are better highlighted. There's no trace of lock/mute button and the On/Off button has also been moved. The speaker grilles are now facing forward, not slightly inclined and same goes for the buttons."

Meanwhile, the iPad Pro will have the largest display, boasting of a 12.9-inch screen. And one of the rumored iPad Pro specs is the split screen functionality, as noted on the Epoch Times.

Ming Chi Kuo, KGI securities analyst, is a popular tipster and he was the first to reveal Apple's plans of manufacturing the 12.9-inch screen tablet, dubbed as the iPad Pro, which is expected to be Apple's hybrid version of a laptop and a tablet.

Contrary to reports that the iPad Pro will have same release date as the iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3, Kuo believes that it is more likely for the work-tablet to arrive in 2015.
