Barclay's Premier League: Fraizer Campbell signed for Crystal Palace

The transfer of striker Fraizer Campbell in Crystal Palace completed the second signing of the summer with an undisclosed fee. The 26-year-old player has inked the paper on a three-year deal after nodding to join the Eagles from Championship side Cardiff City.

Campbell is a common face in Barclays; in fact he has made over 107 Barclays Premier League appearances since in his debut back in 2007/08. His career started at Manchester United and smiled on productive loan spells at Hull City and Tottenham Hotspur, gaining 15 goals in the 2007/08 campaign that drag the Tigers to victory in promotion to the Barclays Premier League via the play-offs.

He then joined Sunderland in 2009. From there, he was utilized mainly as a substitute and scored six top-flight goals from 58 outings, almost 30 of it came from the bench.

In January 2013, Campbell blended in Cardiff, attaining seven goals in a dozen of matches to push the Bluebirds to the Championship title.

His great career is followed by another top-flight campaign but his six goals in 37 appearances, including a memorable double in the 3-2 win over ultimate Barclays Premier League champions Manchester City, could not spare the Welsh outfit from relegation last season.

Campbell's arrival follows that of Scotland Under-21 goalkeeper Chris Kettings on a free transfer and the new contracts confirmation to goalkeeper Julian Speroni and fellow striker Marouane Chamakh.
