'Minecraft' Xbox One Edition Release Date, Price, Features, And Gameplay: 4J Studios And Mojang Still Haven't Announced Exact Release Date: Marvel And 4J Release 'Guardians Of The Galaxy' Skins[PHOTO]

4J Studios has promised 'Minecraft' Xbox One Edition in August, but that is only a few days away and they have yet to announce a specific release date.

Some fans are already unhappy, because of the eight player multiplayer limit. Though this will be patched later.

Marvel comics and 4J Studios' have also announced that Xbox versions of "Minecraft," will soon be getting another batch of new avatar skins based upon characters from the comic book publisher's universe. Marvel Editor Ben Morse revealed on July 26 that a new skin pack is now in development for the Xbox editions of "Minecraft" that will allow gamers to play as the various members of Marvel's upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy movie.

Further announcing the existence of the new licensed DLC, Microsoft Studios' Roger Carpenter retweeted Morse's original announcement on Sunday. Carpenter, who is the lead producer on both Xbox editions of"Minecraft," also confirmed that "The Guardians of the Galaxy" skin pack will be releasing on The Xbox 360 version of the game as well as the upcoming "Minecraft: Xbox One Edition."

"Minecraft" first released on consoles over two years ago starting with the games Xbox 360 launch. Late last year, the series also finally hit the Playstation 3.

According to Epoch Times, the suggested price for the Xbox One version is $19.99. If you already have Minecraft: Xbox 360, it will only cost $4.99 to get an upgrade. You can import the saves from the 360 version into the Xbox One version.

The PS4 and PS Vita editions of "Minecraft" will also be sold at $19.99 and the upgrade from PS3 to PS4 will cost you $4.99. It is said that all the features found in the latest PS3 release will be included in the new versions.

Mojang also announced that they are working closely with Sony Computer Entertainment to find ways for the Blu-Ray disc version of "Minecraft: PlayStation 3 Edition" to be upgraded into the "Minecraft: PlayStation 4 Edition."

Just like with Xbox One, all the saves in PlayStation 3 + Vita Edition and PlayStation 3 Edition can be imported into PlayStation 4 but this cannot be done in reverse, meaning PlayStation 4 to PlayStation 3 transfer is not allowed as there will be many technical problems that can ensue.

Paddy Burns of 4J Studios revealed that the worlds in this next-gen version will be 36 times the size of the previous worlds and they are still looking at increasing it in later updates, The Guardian reports. The size cannot be infinite contrary to earlier statements by the developers of "Minecraft" because there are technical limitations in terms of memory usage due to online multiplayer gaming and save file sizes. Burns also revealed at with some editions, horses will be added.

For those wondering what will happen to the smaller map sizes from other versions, 4J Studios said that there will be in-game options in the new version to increase world sizes, allow players to change the current map size directly.

Check back often as the specific "Minecraft Xbox One Edition" release date is announced.
