Chicago Bulls Roster: Deep Bulls Team Will Be 'Contender' In The East, Says D-Rose

After acquiring some free agents, getting new players and retaining old ones this off-season, the Chicago Bulls roster is as deep as it can get, and one can argue that it is even deeper now than it was during the 2010-11 season where it got the best record in NBA after the regular season.

As for former MVP Derrick Rose, he said that he is happy with all the off-season moves Chicago has done in the lineup.

While the 25-year-old superstar was certainly disappointed that Carmelo Anthony has chosen New York over the Bulls, he perfectly understands the decision.

"Who wouldn't be disappointed?" Rose said in an interview with ESPN. "But at the same time you can't get mad with the decision he made. If you put yourself in that position, that's a hard decision. You've got your family to think about, you've got money to think about. Not to say that you shouldn't think about money, but when you're talking about millions and millions of dollars, you can't just put that behind you. So I'm not mad about the decision that he made, and I wish him nothing but the best."

However, as far as their acquisitions are concerned, D-Rose is happy with the addition of former Laker and two-time NBA champion Pau Gasol to the lineup, together with Euro star Nikola Mirotic and shooting sensation Doug McDermott who is also part of the select team which the USA Team plays against in Las Vegas,

While Rose did not comment on whether he would want Kevin Love to join the Bulls, he said that it's the duty of the front office to get players, and he just have to work hard to give his team wins.

However, it is clear that Rose is confident in his team, knowing that he will be there to provide the scoring and faciltating skills the Bulls have missed for almost two seasons.

"I think we're going to be a contender, a strong contender."
