Kevin Durant News, Rumors: 'Durantula' Moving To Greener Pastures When He Hits Free Agency?

Kevin Durant news, rumors: Now that the NBA free agency period is coming to a close this off-season, some teams and players are looking to the future already.

As for Oklahoma City's Kevin Durant, 2016 will be a major year that will let allow him to decide what's good for his career.

During that year, Durant will be 26 years old and still at his prime though we cannot see how he can still improve with the high-level of play he has shown for the past six seasons with the league.

'Durantula' will enter free agency for the first time since being drafted by the SuperSonics, which became the Thunder. And it looks like as early as now, he is already contemplating the possibilities.

If Oklahoma City does not win any championships in the upcoming NBA season, as well as the 2015-16 season, Durant may be looking to change sceneries.

According to a report by Ramona Shelburne of ESPN, the 25-year-old star answered questions about what he thinks about LeBron's move to go home in Cleveland.

"I thought it was well-thought-out. It was classy. It was a great move to do it as a letter,"  Durant said in an interview after the USA Team practice in Las Vegas.

Aside from saying that it was 'classy' and 'pretty cool', Durant said he texted James right away to congratulate him and wish him all the best.

But is it because Durant is thinking the same thing for himself when free agency comes?

Durant grew up in Maryland, Washington where he said he watched the Washington Bullets/Wizards, as well as the Mystics.

However, the current MVP was quick to say that while he loved going home in Washington, he loves Oklahoma City so much as well.

"That whole city is a part of me. It's in my blood. I love going back home, seeing my family and playing there, but I love Oklahoma City too."

Among the possible teams who would try to get Durant include the Knicks, Nets and of course the Wizards. While Brooklyn may not be too tempting for KD, teaming up with either Carmelo Anthony in New York or John Wall in Washington is something we can all expect if the Thunder still fails to get that elusive NBA ring.

"I'm going to do what's best for me."
