Jessie J, Ariana Grande, Nicki Minaj Single 'Bang Bang' Compared To 'Lady Marmalade' With Christina Aguilera, Pink, And Lil' Kim

Within days of its release, "Bang Bang" by Jessie J, Ariana Grande, and Nicki Minaj is already topping charts with its big name stars.

"It feels like a real fresh start, and just having Nicki and Ariana on there is just a blessing," said Jessie J on her debut single for her new album.

"I just can't wait to just take it around America like a little present in my pocket."

The hashtag #BuyBangBangOnItunes began trending worldwide on Twitter, and it's no surprise given that Jessie J, Ariana Grande, and Nicki Minaj are all on one song.

According to Mashable, "Bang Bang" has already soared to the number one spot on iTunes in the United States, Brazil, Finland, the Philippines, among other countries.

Due to its collaborators and the sound, "Bang Bang" is also drawing heavy comparisons to the "Lady Marmalade" cover by Christina Aguilera, Lil' Kim, Mya, and Pink.

"Twitter was set fire by this glorious 'Lady Marmalade'-lite, with 140-character odes to Jessie J’s torching vocals, Ariana Grande’s passionless vocal perfection, and Nicki Minaj’s phoned-in sass kindling some sort of blazing Internet dance party—all in celebration of the cheesy-yet-fantastic summer jam, which already debuted at No. 1 on the iTunes charts," wrote The Daily Beast contributor Kevin Fallon.

Will "Bang Bang" featuring powerhouse diva names like Jessie J, Ariana Grande, and Nicki Minaj become the next "Lady Marmalade?"
