New ‘Maze Runner’ Trailer Introduces The Horrifying Grievers [WATCH]; Film Poster Hints That The Key To Escape Is Found Inside The Maze

The latest 'Maze Runner' trailer has finally reached the Internet after several months of waiting. The trailer was officially unveiled at the Comic Con event in San Diego over the weekend.

The film is based on the young adults novel penned by James Dashner. The film stars Will Poulter, Kaya Scodelario, and Dylan O' Brien. 'The Maze Runner' follows the life of Thomas who resides in a post-apocalyptic world.

Thomas, with his memory gone, finds himself in an unknown region in the company of boys whose memories were erased as well. The only way out is through an ever-changing maze. However, no one has made it through the maze alive.

In the second 'Maze Runner' trailer, viewers were able to have a glimpse of the terrifying Grievers or the ones responsible for boys who wouldn't be able to survive the maze.

At Comic Con, Fox displayed the Grievers in complete form. They are gigantic creatures with mechanical spider legs who know no mercy. In most promotional teasers for the 'Maze Runner,' director Wes Ball did his best to hide the Grievers and not spoil the terror they would bring. Ball admits that he has been inspired by Jurassic Park and Alien when visualizing the Grievers.

Meanwhile, Yahoo Movies UK  has released a series of posters for the film. The sixth online poster has an intriguing tagline which reads: "The only way out is within."

'Maze Runner' will hit theater screens on September 19.
