Janelle Monae Drops ‘Electric Lady’ Music Video! [WATCH] T.I., Estelle, Kimbra Make Cameos, Jumps To No. 2 On Billboard Trending Chart Thanks To Twitter

Janelle Monáe's latest music video was released today (July 30) for "Electric Lady"!

The 28-year-old singer-songwriter, best known for her hits like "Tightrope", has taken the internet by storm with her newest video release.

Fans can keep an eye out for a few famous faces making cameos in "Electric Lady" - T.I., Estelle, T-Boz and Kimbra are just some of Janelle's pals who put in appearances. Check it out here!

"In the video, Monáe, dressed in a letter jacket and a pink-and-black crop top, helps throw a sorority party that includes an elaborate cupcake display, a step-dancing fraternity and a marching band," USA Today said. "The video combines a '70s vibe - right down to the 8-track player in a vintage car - with modern trappings."

Janelle Monáe was super excited for the video release, hitting up Twitter to let her fans know the moment it dropped.

"JAM WITH ME IN MY NEW EMOTION PICTURE THE ELECTRIC LADY," Janelle posted on Twitter earlier today.

Twitter has been going absolutely crazy for the singer's new video - the popularity of Janelle's new release has made the song shoot up the Billboard Trending 140 (based off the fastest moving songs on Twitter). She's currently holding the number 2 spot, just behind Nick Jonas with "Chains".

A number of fans are keen to join Ms. Monáe's creative new sorority which featured in the music video.

Other fans have noted that while the video was a late release (Janelle's "The Electric Lady" album hit shelves back in September last year), it's exactly what they expected from the singer.
