‘Avengers Age Of Ultron’ Cast Rumors: Ms Marvel Is Fourth Prominent Female Role? After Black Widow, Scarlet Witch And Maria Hill, Who Could It Be?

There has been a prominent call for more female representation in superhero movies. "Avengers: Age of Ultron" may still have a surprise for us, because director Joss Whedon has another Queen up his sleeve. It's either he has another prominent female character we don't know about or he can't count.

In an interview at the London premiere of "Guardians of the Galaxy" Whedon mentions (from Hey U Guys):

"There are four prominent female roles in the center of the movie, and I think [there] is a more balanced presence throughout the movie."

Upon last count, we have Black Widow, Scarlet Witch and it has already been mentioned that Maria Hill will be very visible in the film. There's one more.

One angle of speculation is that Claudia Kim, the Korean actress who was rumored to play a surgeon for Tony Stark, may have a bigger role than we thought. But the keywords here are 'prominent' and 'at the center' so it might be a long shot.

Other female characters that will be in the movie are Jane Foster and Sharon Carter/Agent 13. It was previously rumored that Jane Foster somehow broke up with Thor, and Carter might be redundant-three women heroes all Agents of Shield (Black Widow was an agent at some point)?!

Obviously the fans would want to see a real female superhero. Marvel will be pressured to do that anyway since Warner already has Wonder Woman in the pipeline.

Latino Review already teased about that earlier this year:

"Oh yeah, Ms. Marvel is the last piece of major casting left in the movie. Yeah, Ms. Marvel. Now, I'm not going to spoil HOW she is in it, but she is in there kids. The question now is who is going to play her? Katee Sackhoff was originally rumored so it will be interesting to see who Marvel gets for that part."

LR has been reliable of late, and it should also be noted that this rumor was released along with the 'Paul Bettany as Vision' revelation-and that turned out to be true.
