‘The Vampire Diaries’ Cast Paul Wesley Warns Viewers That He’ll Be ‘Apathetic’ In Show’s Sixth Season; Stefan Salvatore To No Longer Pine For Elena!

Despite the vanishing of his brother Damon in the show's season 5 finale, fans should not expect much from 'The Vampire Diaries' cast Paul Wesley because as per the 32-year-old actor, his character Stefan will no longer care about the things surrounding him.

At the recently concluded Comic Con event in San Diego, Phoebe Tonkin's boyfriend revealed several details about his character. In the 'Vampire Diaries' season 5 finale episode, Stefan took off but as opposed to what others thought that he was out to search for Damon and Bonnie, Stefan merely wanted to get out.

"He decides that he doesn't want to have any part. He's doing his thing and he's completely disinterested, he's apathetic, he's given up," shared Wesley to TV Fanatic.

Apart from the change in his once compassionate character, the 'Vampire Diaries' cast Paul Wesley also warned viewers that the whole show itself would have a different appeal for its sixth season. IT can be remembered that the Travelers have placed an anti-magic boundary spell over Mystic Falls preventing any forms of supernatural activity.

"The vampires can't do the things they normally do. The stories are compartmentalized geographically. I'm not sure how long that will last. Stefan has his own sort of thing, Damon and Bonnie, and then everyone [else]," Wesley continued.

While many are still rooting for Stelena's reunion, the 'Vampire Diaries' cast Paul Wesley said in the panel that his character would no longer pine for Elena: "There's no two ways about it, nobody likes a mopey, whipped dude. Viewers appreciate a character that's strong, and decisive, and masculine. I think he's moved on, and I think that's a sexy quality."

'The Vampire Diaries' season 6 returns on October 2 on the CW Network.
