T-ARA Jiyeon and baseball star Hwang Jae Gyun stirred internet chaos after announcing their divorce on October 5. Following this, the idol-actress will make her first official appearance. 

Jiyeon and Hwang Jae Gyun tied the knot in December 2022, but confirmed their divorce less than two years later.

In a statement released on the same day, Jiyeon's legal representative, Attorney Choi Yuna of Taesung Law Firm, said, "The two sides were unable to overcome their differences, so they separated and agreed to divorce. They filed a divorce mediation application with the Seoul Family Court to proceed with the process."

"We earnestly request that you refrain from making speculative comments," the lawyer added.

Amid her divorce, Jiyeon will make her first public appearance to meet T-ARA's fans.

The 2nd-gen girl group will celebrate their 15th anniversary through a fan meeting in Macau.

The event will be held at Broadway Theatre on October 7 at 5:00 PM, with current members Jiyeon, Qri, Eunjung, and Hyomin to grace the stage with their much-anticipated performances of their hits through the years.

QUEEN's are now curious as to whether she will mention this at the fan meeting.

Rumors about Jiyeon and Hwang Jae Gyun's supposed rocky marriage started in June this year after broadcaster Lee Gwang Gil told the KNN baseball commentary team, "Did you know that Hwang Jae Gyun got divorced?" 

The team was taken aback, but he was quick to add, "Let's talk about it later."

However, Jiyeon's former agency representative refuted the statement, and said that the divorce rumors "are not true."

Meanwhile, around the same time, the idol-actress announced she was taking some time off her YouTube channel, which she regularly updated with vlogs before the break.
