Jenny McCarthy and Sherri Shepherd Bid Farewell To `The View'; The View Casting Rumors Focus on CNN Personalities

Sherri Shepherd and co-host Jenny McCarthy both celebrated their final show on "The View." The two co-hosts taped their goodbyes last week.


Sherri Shephard bid farewell to "The View" saying, "It's time for my whole new view."


Jenny McCarthy told Sherri, "You are one of the most beautiful human beings I have ever met." 


Shephard admitted, "I cried in my dressing room for three years saying why am I at this table. I don't know what I'm doing." 


Whoopi Goldberg wasn't there to hear Jenny McCarthy said goodbye to "The View." Whoopi Goldberg was testing potential co-host chemistry on the set of The Chew. 
A show representative told TVNewser. "Chemistry tests were conducted yesterday with Whoopi and Rosie. The chemistry tests were intended to be confidential. Any names out there were not released by the network nor will they be. No decisions have been made and there is nothing to announce at this time."


Nicolle Wallace and October Gonzales are rumored to be joining The View.The View has been testing  several frontrunners who are in the running to replace Jenny McCarthy and Sherri Shepherd. The View reportedly wants to seat two relatively unknowns.


TVNewser reports Sherri Shepherd and Jenny McCarthy may be replaed by CNN "Crossfire" co-host S.E. Cupp and CNN legal analyst Sunny Hostin.
Before Introducing a best of clip, McCarthy said "I only took a little time but I definitely enjoyed every second of 'The View.'"


Shepherd added "This is a job where you've got a lot of craziness going on and Jenny McCarthy always comes in with a smile and is one of the nicest people to work with in this business. ... So it's been so wonderful having you here for the first year."


McCarthy went on "First was that, after 20 years in the business and paying a lot of dues...., working as a talk show host alongside the single most respected female news journalists of all time, Miss Barbara Walters. All I can say is 'Wow, am I grateful!' Second, was continuing to do what I've always tried to do in any situation I've ever found myself in, which is to learn."


McCarthy then turned to Bill Gedde and said"Working with you, I can now say I have worked with the best in the business - you are one of a kind and thank you. My time here was short, but the memories and lessons learned here will stay with me forever and for that, and to you guys at home who have supported me, I am grateful."
