Nicki Minaj denied the August Alsina dating rumors, but questions about the rap star's love life keep coming. The latest name being linked to Minaj is Safaree Samuels.
The"Pills and Potions" singer quashed rumors linking her with Alsina by posting a photo of her and the rapper on Instagram with the caption: "Shot a video to NO LOVE with my little brother from another mother, August Alsina. This is actually a scene from the video shot by BENNY BOOM. @boomlife."
The Nicki Minaj and August Alsina dating rumors started after after they released a remix collaboration entitled "No Love" but both were quick to respond to the rumors by replying to fan questions on Twitter, said Music Times.
While the 31-year-old Minaj has set the record straight about her non-relationship with the 21-yer-old Alsina, an article from Bustle suggests that the "Superbass" singer is not single and that she is back with rumored on-and-off boyfriend Safaree Samuels.
Amidst the Nicki Minaj and August Alsina dating rumors, the rapper appeared on the cover of Fader magazine's August/September issue and Samuels was reportedly present during her shoot.
"I mention that there are new tabloid rumors that she and Samuels were recently engaged, and she stares straight ahead for several moments, expressionless, as though she's trying to will the question away," said Carrie Battan, Fader writer.
Samuels is Minaj's assistant and bestfriend, according to Wiki Minaj. He also worked as the co-executive producer of her album "Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded," the online profile added.
Rumors of Samuels and Minaj's engagement started spreading in March after the latter posted on Instagram about celebrating a 10-year anniversary with someone. And some were quick to assume that they got engaged after spending two weeks in Cabo.
Nicki Minaj catapulted to stardom with the release of her song "Superbass" and has recently released a new single entitled "Anaconda," following the hit of her collaboration with Jessie J and Ariana Grande called "Bang-Bang."
