'Minecraft' Xbox One Release Date Leaked: Price, Features, And Gameplay For Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3, PS4, And PS Vita: 4J Studios Says They Are Still Working On Bugs [PHOTO]

"Minecraft" for Xbox One release date is coming, just not as fast as most fans would hope.

4J studios has said that the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation Vita versions of Minecraft still have so many bugs that it's too early to announce a release date.

"We're still fixing #MinecraftXbox1, #MinecraftPS4 and #MinecraftPSVita bugs," the developer said on Twitter. "We'll let you know when we hand over to the [certification] testing teams!"

The Xbox One, PS4 and PS Vita versions of Minecraft are expected to launch in August. If you already own the Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 version of Minecraft, you can get the game on Xbox One or PS4 for $5. You can also move your saves over. The PS Vita version of Minecraft will be available in August through a special $20 Minecraft: PS3 + Vita Edition.

Minecraft, an open-ended sandbox game, has been an incredible success since its full release on PC in 2011. The game has since sold around 54 million copies across all platforms.

Here are some of the differences between the platforms.

Xbox One Minecraft:

It will be released in August through the Xbox Live Marketplace. Differences and upgrades from the Xbox 360 edition include significantly bigger worlds and greater draw distance. The game will include all the updates released so far for the Xbox 360 version, and even though it will cost $19.99, you can get it for as cheap as $4.99 if you have purchased the Xbox 360 edition from the Live Marketplace or if you have played on the 360 edition online using the disc version. Players will have to upgrade for a minimum of 1 year, and if they have Xbox 360 Edition saves, they can import them into the Xbox One Edition. The reverse process is not possible (importing Xbox One saves into Xbox 360) because it is a lot harder to shrink worlds than it is to expand them. Users won't be able to cross play between different consoles, and some of the DLC skins from the X360 Edition will not cross on Xbox One due to licensing and other legal issues, although Mojang and 4J assure fans that most of the skins will still be available.

PS4:

The PS4 Edition of Minecraft will be released also in August, on the PSN, and cost $19.99. If you have purchased a PS3 Edition of Minecraft through the PSN, or have played online using a PS3 disc, you will be able to upgrade to the PS4 version for only $4.99. As compared to those found in the PS3 + PS Vita Edition, the worlds in the PS4 will suffer from significant expansion and draw distance. All the latest updates from the PS3+Vita Edition will be featured in the PS4 version. Players will have to upgrade for minimum 1 year. Player will also be able to import their PS3 + Vita saves into the PS4 Edition, but can't transfer them the other way around. Same as with the Xbox One Edition, the PS4 Edition will not include all the DLC skin packs, as some of them are trapped in licensing deals. Playing the game with someone over different consoles won't be possible.

PS3/PS Vita:

There is also a PS3 + Vita Edition on the way, meaning that it will work on both your PlayStation 3 AND  your PlayStation Vita. You will be able to continue your PS3 game even if you have to leave home, by using the PS Vita portable platform on the bus, in the card, or wherever you are. The PS3 + Vita Edition will cost $19.9 and you will own the game for both the PS3 and the PS Vita, no matter which platform you bought the game for first. This edition will include all the latest PS3 Edition updates, including online gameplay through the PS Vita. Al the DLC skins from the PS3 version will be made available in the PS3 +Vita Edition.

Reports earlier this month said a GameStop listing showed "Minecraft: Xbox One Edition" was coming out on Aug. 19. However, it could simply be a placeholder date. And seeing as it takes two weeks for certification testing, and 4J said they would send out an update when that happened. That date is not looking possible.

Check back often as we get closer to the "Minecraft' Xbox One Edition" release date.
