'No Man's Sky' Release Date, Gameplay, Trailer, News, And Updates: Sean Murray Of Hello Games Announces PC Version Will Be Available After Period Of PS4 Exclusivity No Word On Xbox One Yet [VIDEO]

"No Man's Sky" is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated and potentially groundbreaking game release dates not only of this year, but possibly this decade. Just don't tell Hello Games developer Sean Murray.

"Hype is your worst enemy as a developer," explained Murray, "because it's that thing that's really impossible to deliver against."

He wasn't afraid to hint that the humble team of 10 people does feel the pressure but they are not going to let it come in between their work.

"We definitely don't want it to affect us. And I think it would be this ludicrous mistake as well. You could almost write it out that Hello Games would come back from E3, hire loads of people, go crazy, and never be seen again. But it's also quite nice that we have enough interest, because it allows us to just focus on making the game."

Murray, the managing director at Hello Games, revealed that a PC version will follow the PS4 version after the timed-exclusivity period expires. Sorry Xbox One owners, but there has still been no mention of the game eventually arriving on the Microsoft console. In an interview with Edge Online, Murray went on to explain that keeping consoles in mind while developing No Man's Sky did not hurt the PC version at all...

"I actually got in a bit of trouble for saying that we wanted the game to feel really console-y... We've always had PC in mind but in my head [console-y] means solid framerate and immediate controls. I think a PC game can be console-y and it's intended as a compliment, but I get in trouble for saying it."

Unfortunately, Murray was unable to offer any concrete details about the length of the PS4 exclusive deal. Seeing that we still don't even have a solid release date window yet, this isnt surprising.

"No Man's Sky" will be an entire galaxy that grows and changes and evolves based on algorithms, to create a near infinite numer of planets and stars to explore. There are no missions, no quests, the only idea is to get towards the center of the galaxy using "intelligence, imagination and co-operation".

Players are set free to explore space in search of new worlds. Stars and planets are created procedurally as they are discovered, with unique environments and complete ecosystems to match them.

It's a persistent online world, so once discovered, these locations become available to others. Players will be able to make "significant changes" to locations. All this means that once a world is discovered, anyone can go there, and once it is changed, it is chagned permanently.

"No Man's Sky" has an expected release date somewhere in 2015. More on the release date as it approches.
