‘The Hobbit: Battle Of Five Armies’ Cast Sir Ian McKellen Steps In For Patrick Stewart To Do Marriage Proposal; Actor Posts On Twitter A ‘Recreated Scene’ Of ‘Lord Of the Rings’

 "The Hobbit: Battle of the Five Armies" cast Sir Ian McKellen has stepped in for Patrick Stewart for a marriage proposal, as the actor posted on Twitter a "recreated scene" of the "Lord of the Rings."

According to E! News, "The Hobbit: Battle of the Five Armies" cast Sir Ian McKellen helped a fan propose when his friend Patrick Stewart could not fulfill his promise.

The video was posted on YouTube by Brett Lotriet Best who proposed to his boyfriend Khalid Shawwa, a huge fan of "Star Trek: The Next Generation."

"We all know how you feel about Star Trek's Captain Picard," Best started, holding up a sign. "So I searched the galaxy for Patrick Stewart and finally asked his best friend for help!"

Then "The Hobbit: Battle of the Five Armies" cast Sir IanMcKellen is shown with the message:

"Khalid, I've got bad news for you-it's good news as well-but the bad news is, Patrick Stewart is married. I married him. Well, no, I was the minister at the wedding. He's not available."

"The good news is that Brett is available. So, think it over, do the right thing," he said.

At which point Brett Lotriet Best then holds up a sign which said, "Will you marry me?"

"I would like to explore the universe with you," another sign held up by Best reads.

"The Hobbit: Battle of the Five Armies" cast Sir Ian McKellen, meanwhile, posted a pic on his Twitter recreating a scene from "Lord of the Rings."

The 75-year-old actor walking behind a seagull which was seemingly content on waddling on the street. Gandalf then captioned the photo, "fly you fool."

Earlier, Peter Jackson revealed that some deleted scenes from "LOTR" might be incorporated in "The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies."

"There are a few scenes that haven't been seen from Lord Of The Rings, but not many. We might try to put them back in. It's a big logistical thing which hasn't wrapped our heads around. But if there's enough interest..." he said.
