Upcoming Motorola Phones 2014: Moto X+1 Flagship Will Take On The HTC One M8 With BoomSound-Like Front Speakers

With the upcoming IFA event comes some of the most awaited devices in the industry, and that includes a number upcoming Motorola phones for 2014. 

In case you have been keeping up with the rumors and leaked specs and images surfacing recently, one of the most anticipated Android handsets this quarter is the new Motorola flagship. 

Banking on the success of its predecessor, the Moto X, the new flagship will surely boast a more impressive set of specifications. 

In a recent report by BGR, the guys at Droid-Life managed to get some leaked images of the Moto X+1 courtesy of HelloMotoHK's Facebook page. 

In the image, the unannounced device is compared with the Moto X and certainly looks bigger than its older sibling. Aside from its length, there is also a noticeable increase in width, which would make its 5.2-inch display a lot bigger than it really is. 

Interestingly, the image also shows a significant upgrade to the Moto X+1's front speakers, which resemble that of the HTC One M8's BoomSound speakers. This could mean that the upcoming Motorola handset will include multimedia as its focal selling points. 

In case you are already looking forward to this Android-powered handset, GFXBench has revealed some of its specs which include a Full HD (1920 x 1080) display, a Snapdragon 801 chipset, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, and Android 4.4.4 Kit Kat out of the box. 

Also on board is a 12MP primary shooter and a 2MP front cam for selfies and video calls. In recent reports, the new Motorola flagship will make its debut on September 4, and most likely be paired with the Moto 360 smartwatch. Another upcoming Motorola phone for this year would be the Moto G successor, the G2, and it is reportedly going to be priced higher than its predecessor.
