Upcoming Nokia Phones 2014: Lumia 520 Successor Already Available In India And Malaysia For As Low As $110, Packs 4" Display, WP 8.1, 5MP Camera

In spite all of the news within Microsoft, there are still upcoming Nokia phones for 2014 which the market would enjoy.

According to a recent report by GSM Arena, the phone maker has already launched a new Lumia especially tailored for the mass market.

Dubbed as simply the Lumia 530, this is another successor to the Lumia 520 which the manufacturer launched a couple of years ago. Its immediate successor, the Lumia 525 did not do well in the market and so Nokia and Microsoft are giving it another try with the Lumia 530.

As far as specs are concerned, there is nothing remarkable about the Nokia handset. But if you are particular with a cheap price tag, then this could be the Windows Phone you have been waiting for.

In the report, the Nokia Lumia 530 only costs $110 in Malaysia, while the handset costs slightly higher in India at $120. Still, the $10 difference is hardly noticeable as this is still among the cheapest handsets today.

And in case you are wondering how the WP 8.1 works, then you can test it by just paying a small amount of money.

So what does the Nokia Lumia 530 has in store as far as specs are concerned?

In the report, the device packs a 4-inch display with 854 x 480 resolution, a Snapdragon 200 chipset, a quad-core Cortex-A7 CPU, and a 5MP fixed focus unit. The phone also comes with a dual-SIM version though we haven't confirmed how much it really costs on both Asian markets.

Nokia is really trying its best to remain relevant in the entry-level market, and the Lumia 530 could be a good start. The device has some decent specs which most consumers are looking for in a smartphone, and those features come at a very affordable price.

Unfortunately, the main drawback here is the operating system itself, Windows Phone 8.1 may be the best version of the Microsoft mobile platform, but it is still way behind Android and iOS in capturing the interest of smartphone and technology enthusiasts.
