'Minecraft' Xbox One Edition Release Date Delayed, Price, Features, And Gameplay: 4J Studios Says Sony Found Bugs In PS4 Version Also [PHOTO]

"Minecraft" for Xbox One and PS4, release date delayed due to bugs.

"Minecraft" for Xbox One was origonally rumored to be released in August, but 4J has decided to delay due to bug fixing. The PS4 version, however, has been submitted for testing by Sony.

4J origonally tweeted "We can see the light at the end of the tunnel! #MinecraftXbox1 #MinecraftPS4 #MinecraftPSVita," 4J studios originally told players via Twitter.

In a past tweet, the game developer, 4J studios, changed their earlier statement, saying "We're still fixing #MinecraftXbox1, #MinecraftPS4 and #MinecraftPSVita bugs. We'll let you know when we hand over to the Cert testing team.

Today 4J studios tweeted "Sony found some issues we have to fix in their final test of #MinecraftPS4 :( We're fixing, but we need to go through the process again" So that means the PS4 version release date will also be delayed in addition to the Xbox One Edition release date being delayed.

4J Studios has also tweeted that they will not stop updating the Xbox 360 version just because the Xbox One Version is coming out.

Some have taken this to mean "Minecraft" Xbox One edition will not be available until late September, a full month after players were expecting it. The delay will likely alos affect the release date for the PS4 version as well.

For those new to the series "Minecraft" is a game where you build things with 3D blocks, mine, craft, and fight with other players. The Xbox 360 version of the game will initially allow 8 players, though 4J plans to make that number larger eventually. It also will have a 36X larger world and allow worlds and skins from the Xbox 360 version to be imported.

The game costs 19.99, but if you already have the Xbox 360 version, you can update to the newest version for just $5.This is the same for PS3/ PS4.

Minecraft has sold 54 million copies worldwide.
