Motorola Moto 360 Release Date, Price, And Specs: Best Buy Accidentally Leaks Specs, Will Be Unveiled At 'Moto Launch Experience'PHOTO]

Best Buy has confirmed that it accidentally leaked specs and price details of the unreleased Moto 360 smartwatch. The Moto 360 release date has also been announced.

The company removed the page on Monday (August 18), a day after the Moto 360 price and specs were accidentally made public.

CNET was able to capture the listing before it was taken down.

According to the page entitled: "Motorola - Moto 360 Smart Watch for Select Android Devices - Silver/Gray)," the device costs $249.99 and features an 1.5-inch backlit LCD display with 320 x 290 resolution and protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

The Best Buy Listing also has made note of stainless-steel casing, voice-activation system, optical heart rate monitor, pedometer and Bluetooth 4.0 technology.

Moto 360, Motorola's entry to the smartwatch battleground, is expected to be officially launched via the "Moto Launch Experience" event that will be held in Chicago on September 4.

Motorola runs the risk of hosting to less live attendees since the event is going to happen one day after Samsung's "Unpacked" event, which is set to showcase Galaxy Alpha and other new flagship devices ahead of the IFA 2014 consumer electronics fair in Berlin, Germany.

Amongst the products to be released are: a new Moto X, Moto G, a bluetooth handset and the much anticipated Moto 360 smartwatch.

On the invitation, the company has teased all 4 aforementioned products, with a "X" most likely depicting a new Moto X, and a "G" depicting a Moto G. A company spokeswoman also confirmed that there would be multiple products at the event.

According to Motorola, "Moto 360 sets itself apart with a design that reimagines time for the modern era - a distinctive round display, carefully chosen materials, and fine craftsmanship all while keeping you on track and up to date without taking you out of the moment."

The Moto 360 will run on the same Android Wear software as Samsung's and LG's smartwatches run on.
