Chicago Bulls Roster In Danger? Rose Reportedly Has Sore Knees While In Team USA Training Camp

This off-season, the Chicago Bulls roster has tremendously improved as far as offense is concerned, and with Rose re-joining the team after almost two full seasons of injuries, the future certainly looks bright in Windy City.

Even in D-Rose's previous runs and games with Team USA, the national team coaching staff has nothing but praises for the 25-year-old. In a report by ESPN, head coach Mike Krzyzewski even claimed Rose as the most impressive player in the training camp.

However, in a rather worrisome development, Mike Mazzeo and Marc Stein of ESPN reported that Rose has missed Team USA's two practices due to a sore knee. In the game against Dominican Republic, Rose sat out the entire game just to give him a day-off.

Fellow point guard Kyrie Irving started the game instead.

Rose has been playing rough for the entire training camp of Team USA, and there maybe some who are worried that he may be pushing himself too hard. That someone is the Chicago Bulls.

Ever since Rose's first round exit due to an ACL injury, the Bulls' offense has never been the same. While the defense remained thanks to the coaching prowess of coach Tom Thibodeau, the offense was anemic at best. While the team tried to get as much offensive help as possible in past years, those players simply did not fit in.

Now, the team has premier big man Pau Gasol, a couple of shooters in Nikola Mirotic from Europe, and Doug McDermott, and a rapidly improving Tony Snell. These three alone can wreck havoc on the offensive end even without veteran scoring point guard Aaron Brooks.

However, after all is said and done, Rose is still the heart and soul of this team. And losing him just because he tried so hard to qualify for Team USA may be a gamble they are not willing to make. Let's see what Team USA assistant coach Thibodeau will do.
