iPad Pro Rumors: What Should We Expect From Upcoming 12.9" Slate From Apple?

iPad Pro Rumors: Apple has just announced one of the most worst-kept secrets in history, the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, which boast a more rounded design which should allow easier use for one-hand functions.

However, the Cupertino manufacturer has not yet announced any of its upcoming iPads, specifically the new iPad Air 2, and the iPad mini Retina 2.

As for the 12.9-inch iPad Pro, the rumored handset will reportedly be postponed until  early next year.

According to recent reports, the huge Apple tablet will be a tablet-laptop hybrid where the device will come up a keyboard dock. Aside from being thinner than most slates, it would also be more powerful in terms of performance.

One factor that may become a game-charger for the iPad Pro is the reported use of an Intel chip instead of the A8 chip which runs on the current iPhones and probably even the new iPads.

There would also be a Touch ID home button, slimmer bezels and possibly a higher resolution screen.

Since late last year, the 12.9-inch slate has already been rumored. The rumors then were so convincing that Samsung decided to beat Apple in the launch game, releasing its own 12-inch tablet, dubbed the Galaxy Note Pro 12.2.

Unfortunately, the tablet has not sold well because of its steep price tag, which might have also been a factor why the Cupertino manufacturer decided to 'shelve' the iPad Pro 'indefinitely'.

However, the upcoming release of the Nexus 9 slate from Google and HTC will certainly provide the much-needed rejuvination in this niche in the mobile industry. Just as when the Nexus 7 was announced, the tablet market become bigger in the succeeding months.

But in true Apple fashion, it would not launch the iPad Pro together with the Air and mini. The sibling rivalry brewing between the two is already enough. A third wheel could be more desructive than helpful for Apple's slates.
