Jeremy Lin News: 4 Players Who Will Thrive With 'Linsanity' Star In Los Angeles Lakers

Jeremy Lin News: Is Linsanity 2.0 bound to happen in Los Angeles? Not quite, as Lin himself said in an interview that he doesn't want to duplicate that event.

However, Lin will certainly have an impact on the offensive end for the Los Angeles Lakers roster come the 2014-15 NBA season.

Through the years, we have come to the conclusion that the best passers in the league are primarily offensive threats. Pass-first floor generals like John Stockton, Jason Kidd and Steve Nash were able to distribute the ball extremely well because they attracted defenses, which meant that teams respected their offensive arsenal.

Even current playmakers like Chris Paul and Rajon Rondo also have offensive qualities which allow them to lure defenses, leaving their teammates open.

That would be the case with Jeremy Lin and his new Lakers team.

In his stint with the Houston Rockets, Lin only averaged almost six assists per game in his first season, and just above four in his second season. That's because he was not the primary ball handler in the lineup, in spite his point guard position. Instead, he often played off the ball and settled for outside shots.

But this time around, he can orchestrate the play more. Here are four players who will benefit from Lin's passing in the upcoming season:

1. Kobe Bryant - Known for his tendency to stop the ball on offense, Bryant is an underrated off-ball player and catch-and-shoot specialist. Limiting his touches with the ball will allow him to save energy in ball-handling, and just focus on shot opportunities.

2. Carlos Boozer - The last time Carlos Boozer played extremely well in a season is when he had an elite point guard in Derrick Rose playing with him. Now that he has a pass-first floor general in Lin, expect Boozer to get some sweet dimes down low whenever Lin tries to penetrate.

3. Julius Randle - While Randle may not start with the Lakers this season, he is a much-needed offensive boost off the bench. Lin will play a major role in increasing in confidence around the hoop, and open shots would certainly help him reach his best early next season.

4. Jordan Hill - As one of the centers in this Lakers team, Hill is adept at cleaning the boards for Los Angeles, averaging 2.7 offensive rebounds a game last season. That means Hill is often around the basket waiting for missed shots and lose balls. Lin can attract defenses and drop the ball to Hill who can easily score inside.
