Google Android One Project Launched In India, Here's A Complete List Of Partner Companies

Google Android One is a major project from the search engine giant that aims to provide a consistent Android experience to users. And earlier today, Google launched the program in India.

According to a report by Phone Arena, Google announced the first smartphones which run on Android One, and all of them are from Indian brands and cost below $100.

In the report, Google announced three Android-powered handsets which run on Android One. The phones are the Karbonn Sparkle V, Spice Android One Dream UNO Mi-498, and the Canvas A1 from Micromax.

In the same event, Google also revealed the complete list of manufacturers which will be part of the Android One program.

The list includes Taiwanese manuacturers HTC and Asus, Chinese brand Lenovo, Acer, Alcatel, Panasonic, Intex, Lava, and Xolo.

At the moment, Android One is supported by two chipmakers, Qualcomm and MediaTek, which make run on most smartphones anyway so that's not a problem.

An important factor to point is that Korean manufacturers Samsung and LG have not yet joined the cause to streamline the Android experience.

However, it's still pretty early to count them out, especially considering the fact that Android One for now is aimed at the emerging market.
