Watch Miss Nebraska Megan Swanson Accidentally Flashes Underwear At Miss America Pageant

Miss New York Kira Kazantsev was not the only one in the spotlight during Sunday's live broadcast of the Miss America pageant. Miss Nebraska Megan Swanson also captured quite a lot of attention after observant viewers captured her wardrobe malfunction at the beginning of the evening wear segment.

As co-host Chris Harrison began explaining the judges' criteria for the annual competition, the camera panned over the contestants sitting on the onstage couch. It was at this moment that Swanson, in a knit crocket top and short black skirt, leaned over to chat with another contestant. With her legs unfortunately uncrossed, the stunning brunette accidentally flashes her pink underwear on live TV.

Swanson flashed the audience right when host Chris Harrison said this exact words "As they're looking through the beautiful gowns - not literally, that would be wrong - the judges will be looking at the personal style and flair of each of these contestants."

Talk about bad timing!

She did not advance past the first round but this probably had nothing to do the wardrobe malfunction. She, however, immediately became a hot topic on Twitter, making the hashtag #missnebraska a trending sensation for all the wrong reasons. Some women immediately came jumping to Swansons' defense and called the short dresses as an accident waiting to happen.

But this entire hullabaloo did not seem to faze Swanson at all.

Late last night, she tweeted: "Regardless of not being selected to be in the judges top 16 last night, I cannot describe how immeasurably transformational the last two weeks have been for my life. The 52 other women in my class are THE greatest women in the world- beautiful, driven, passionate, God-fearing, and impacting the world on a daily basis. I felt more beautiful than I think I ever have in my entire life..."
