Chris Brown New Album ‘X’ Is About Him Growing Up; Songs To Feature Crooner’s Newly Developed Falsetto [LIST]
Chris Brown's new album "X" is officially released and the crooner is proud as it will feature his newly developed vocal skills. The album is likewise full of collaborations with different artists such as Ariana Grande, Kendrick Lamar, and Nicki Minaj.
"For this album, I wanted to have the same mentality as I did with the first album - me being green, me not thinking I know what's hot and what's next, me just being Chris Brown," he told the press as reported by Hollywood Life.
"I think this will show my vocal ability a lot more. I've developed a falsetto, I can sing at a higher register, and I can elaborate more on my skill," he added.
Chris Brown's new album "X" was originally scheduled for a late 2013 release. However, a parole violation which led to rehab and jail stints postponed the release.
Meanwhile, for fans wondering about the title of Brown's album, Karrueche Tran's beau says that it's about him moving on and growing up.
"It can refer to an ex-girlfriend, in terms of you always look forward to moving forward from. It's also about being a reject in a sense. In me being myself, being able to grow up, me not always hanging around the right crowd or doing the right thing all the time - it's me saying, 'I'm over it. I'm past the bulls- now," he said.
